Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to TrackBitz ("we", "us", "our", "the platform"). By accessing, browsing, registering on, or making a purchase from trackbitz.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full.
TrackBitz is an independent music platform based in the United Kingdom that allows users to discover, stream, and download music tracks, purchase royalty-free sample packs and digital products, attend and sell tickets for events, and — for approved artists — sell their own music and products directly to fans.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this platform.
2. Accounts & Registration
A free TrackBitz account is required to use the platform. You must be signed in to:
- Stream or download any tracks
- Purchase tracks, packs, or products
- Download free tracks
- Follow artists and receive notifications
- Leave comments on tracks
- Save purchases to your dashboard for permanent re-download
- Apply for an artist account
- Use discount codes
- Post on the community feed
- Purchase event tickets
You may register using an email address and password, or via Google Sign-In. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@trackbitz.com.
3. Tracks — Streaming & Downloads
TrackBitz hosts music tracks uploaded by approved artists. Tracks may be free or paid.
- Streaming: A free TrackBitz account and sign-in is required to stream tracks on the platform.
- Free tracks: Free tracks can be downloaded at no cost — you must be signed in to your account to download.
- Paid tracks: Paid tracks may be purchased via PayPal or by card (where the artist has enabled card payments). Payment is processed securely — TrackBitz does not store your card or bank details.
- Play counts: Each stream registers a play count visible on the track page. This is for display purposes only.
Free track downloads are provided as-is by the artist. The artist is responsible for ensuring they hold full rights to any track they make available for free download.
4. Track Comments
Registered users may leave timestamped comments on tracks. By submitting a comment you agree that:
- Comments must be respectful and relevant — no harassment, hate speech, spam, or inappropriate content
- You will not post personal information about others without their consent
- You will not use comments to advertise, promote, or solicit services
- TrackBitz and track owners reserve the right to remove any comment at any time
- Repeated misuse of the comment system may result in account suspension
You can delete your own comments at any time. Track-owning artists and platform admins can remove any comment on their content.
5. Sample Packs & Digital Products
TrackBitz sells royalty-free digital products including sample packs, sound packs, MIDI packs, and synth presets. Products are available from TrackBitz directly and from approved independent artists via the store.
All products are digital downloads only — no physical goods are shipped. Upon successful payment you will receive access to your download either immediately on the confirmation page or via your account dashboard.
Products may be purchased via PayPal or by card, depending on the payment methods the artist has enabled.
6. Download Links & Access
- Purchases: All purchases are tied to your account and saved permanently to your dashboard for unlimited re-download at any time.
- Free track downloads: Available immediately upon sign-in — no time limit while your account is active.
If you experience issues accessing a download, contact support@trackbitz.com with your transaction ID and we will resolve it promptly.
7. Payments
TrackBitz supports two payment methods, depending on which options the selling artist has enabled:
- PayPal: Payment is processed by PayPal and sent directly to the artist's PayPal account. TrackBitz does not collect, hold, or take a cut of PayPal payments. Any payment disputes should be raised with the artist directly or via PayPal's buyer protection process.
- Card payments (Stripe): Card payments are processed securely by Stripe via Stripe Connect. The buyer's card is charged and funds are transferred directly to the artist's connected Stripe account. TrackBitz applies a 5% platform fee on card transactions, which is deducted from the amount received by the artist — the buyer pays the listed price only. We do not store your card details at any point.
All prices are displayed in GBP (£). By completing a purchase you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
Payment processing fees: Both PayPal and Stripe deduct their own processing fees from each transaction. These are charged by the payment provider and are outside TrackBitz's control. The listed price is what you pay as a buyer — processing fees and the platform fee (on card payments) are deducted from the amount received by the artist.
TrackBitz is not liable for payment issues arising from incorrect PayPal details or Stripe account configuration provided by an artist. Card payments are subject to Stripe's terms of service at stripe.com/gb/legal.
8. No Refund Policy
Due to the instant nature of digital downloads, all sales are final and non-refundable once a download link has been issued or a download has been made available.
We will only consider a replacement or resolution if the file delivered is demonstrably corrupted or completely undeliverable — in which case please contact support@trackbitz.com within 7 days of purchase with your transaction ID (PayPal transaction ID or Stripe payment reference).
For card payments processed via Stripe, any chargeback or dispute raised with your bank may result in immediate suspension of your TrackBitz account pending investigation.
9. Discount Codes
Discount codes may be issued by TrackBitz or by individual artists for their own products. A signed-in account is required to apply a discount code at checkout.
- Each code is valid only for the specific product(s) or artist it was created for, unless issued as a global code
- Codes cannot be combined with other offers or codes
- Artists may create, manage, and expire their own discount codes via their dashboard — these codes apply only to their own products
- TrackBitz and individual artists reserve the right to withdraw or expire any discount code at any time without notice
- Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or refunded
- Discount codes apply to both PayPal and card (Stripe) checkout — the discounted price is applied to whichever payment method you choose
- 100% off codes: When a discount code reduces the price to £0.00, a "Claim Free Download" button replaces the payment buttons. No payment is taken — the item is recorded as purchased on your account and the download is available immediately. You must be signed in to claim a free item via a discount code.
- Misuse or fraudulent use of discount codes may result in account suspension
10. Events & Ticket Sales
Approved artists may list events on TrackBitz and sell tickets directly through the platform. Ticket purchases are processed via PayPal or card (where the artist has enabled card payments).
- Upon successful payment, a unique QR code ticket is issued to your registered email address. Keep this email safe — it is your proof of purchase and entry.
- Tickets are tied to the purchasing email address and are non-transferable unless the event organiser explicitly permits transfers
- You may purchase multiple tickets in a single transaction (subject to availability)
- Ticket availability is shown on the event page — TrackBitz does not guarantee availability until payment is confirmed
- Event details (date, time, venue, price) are set by the artist. TrackBitz is not responsible for changes to event details made by the artist after ticket purchase
- In the event of a cancellation, the organising artist is responsible for issuing refunds directly. TrackBitz will make reasonable efforts to assist in notifying affected ticket holders but is not liable for the refund itself
- Attempting to use a forged, duplicate, or invalid QR code for entry is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension
TrackBitz is a ticketing platform only — we do not organise, manage, or take responsibility for the events themselves. All queries about event logistics, cancellations, or entry should be directed to the event organiser.
11. Community Feed
TrackBitz includes a community feed where registered users and artists can post updates, share music, and interact with the community through comments and reactions.
By posting on the community feed you agree that:
- All posts must be relevant to music, production, or the TrackBitz community
- You will not post spam, advertisements, phishing links, or unsolicited promotions
- You will not post content that is offensive, hateful, harassing, or illegal
- You will not share personal information about others without their consent
- You may edit or delete your own posts at any time
- TrackBitz and platform admins reserve the right to remove any post or comment that violates these terms
- Repeated misuse of the feed may result in account suspension
Likes and comments on feed posts are visible to other users. TrackBitz does not guarantee the accuracy or quality of user-generated content on the feed.
12. Licence & Usage Rights
All packs and tracks available for download on TrackBitz are sold or offered under a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence. Upon download or purchase you are granted the following rights:
You MAY:
- Use the sounds, samples, and MIDI in personal and commercial music productions
- Release music containing these sounds on any platform (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.)
- Use the sounds in sync projects, film, TV, and advertising
You MAY NOT:
- Resell, redistribute, share, or give away the pack or track files to any third party
- Re-upload the sounds as a standalone product, sample pack, or preset library
- Claim authorship or ownership of the original samples, presets, or recordings
- Use the content in a way that infringes the rights of the original creator
This licence is perpetual for purchases — you retain usage rights to content you have legitimately downloaded even if it is later removed from the platform.
13. Artist Pages
Approved artists may create a public profile page at trackbitz.com/artists/[slug]. Artist pages can include a bio, avatar, social links, background theme, genre/role tags, tracks, albums, products, and events.
By creating and maintaining an artist page you agree that:
- All content you upload or link to (avatar, bio, links, background videos, artwork) must be content you own or have the legal right to publish
- Your page URL (slug) must not impersonate another artist, brand, or public figure
- You will not publish false, misleading, or defamatory information
- Background videos must be under 100 MB
- Artwork images are processed and stored as WebP at up to 600×600px
- We reserve the right to remove, suspend, or de-approve any artist page that violates these terms or brings the platform into disrepute
Artist account applications are reviewed manually and approval is at TrackBitz's sole discretion. Approval is typically within 12 hours but is not guaranteed within any specific timeframe.
14. Artist Track Uploads
Approved artists may upload music tracks to their profile. Tracks can be streamed freely by all visitors and made available for free download (account required) or sold to buyers.
- Audio files must be in .mp3, .wav, .ogg, .flac, or .aac format
- Artwork for tracks must be an image file and will be processed to WebP
- You must own or have full rights to any track you upload — including all samples, features, and recordings contained within it
- Artists may toggle which tracks appear publicly on their profile page
- Tracks are subject to review and may be removed at TrackBitz's discretion
- By uploading a track you grant TrackBitz a non-exclusive licence to host, stream, display, and serve the track to users of the platform
- Play counts and download counts are tracked and displayed publicly on the track page
Do not upload tracks containing samples or recordings you do not have the rights to. Copyright infringement claims against uploaded content are the sole responsibility of the uploading artist.
15. Artist Product Submissions
Approved artists may submit digital products (sample packs, sound packs, presets, etc.) for sale on the TrackBitz store. Artists may also list events and sell tickets through the platform.
- Pack files must be in .zip, .rar, or .7z format and must not exceed 650 MB
- Audio preview files must be in .mp3, .wav, .ogg, .flac, or .aac format and must not exceed 50 MB
- All submitted products are reviewed by TrackBitz before going live — we reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any product at our discretion
- Artists are notified by email when their product is approved and made live
- PayPal payments: Artists must provide a valid PayPal email address to receive PayPal payments. Buyers pay directly to the artist's PayPal account — TrackBitz does not take a commission on PayPal sales.
- Card payments (Stripe Connect): To accept card payments, artists must connect a Stripe account via their dashboard. Card payments are processed via Stripe Connect and transferred directly to the artist's Stripe account. TrackBitz deducts a 5% platform fee from the transaction amount before the remainder is transferred to the artist.
- Artists may choose to accept PayPal only, card only, or both — this is configured at the product level via the dashboard
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you hold all rights to any content you submit for sale
- Artists may set and manage their own discount codes — including 100% off codes — for their products via the dashboard
16. Follower Notifications & Email
Users and visitors may follow an artist page to receive email updates when new releases are added. By following an artist you consent to receiving occasional emails from that artist sent via TrackBitz's email system.
- Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link — you can opt out at any time with immediate effect
- Artists are limited to 3 notification emails per hour to their followers to prevent misuse
- Notification emails are sent in the artist's name — the artist is responsible for the content of any notification they send
- Artists must not use the notification system to send spam, promotions unrelated to their music, or any content that violates these terms
- We do not share follower email addresses with third parties or with other artists
- TrackBitz reserves the right to suspend notification sending for any artist found to be misusing the feature
17. Community Uploads & Download Safety
Some content on TrackBitz is submitted directly by independent artists. By downloading any file from this platform you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Files are not automatically scanned for viruses, malware, or malicious content. We do not have the technical means to guarantee the safety of every uploaded file. You download all files entirely at your own risk.
- We strongly recommend scanning all downloaded files with up-to-date antivirus software before opening or extracting them
- Community-uploaded products are created and submitted by independent artists — TrackBitz does not create, verify, or endorse the content of these files beyond a basic review for store approval
- TrackBitz accepts no liability for any damage, data loss, or harm to your device or systems resulting from downloaded files
- If you believe a file is harmful or contains inappropriate content, please contact us immediately at support@trackbitz.com and we will investigate promptly
- Artists who upload files containing malware, viruses, or harmful content will have their account permanently suspended and may be reported to the relevant authorities
18. Acceptable Use
When using TrackBitz you must not:
- Attempt to hack, probe, or compromise the security of the platform
- Scrape, crawl, or extract content from the platform in an automated manner without prior written consent
- Use the platform to distribute illegal content including but not limited to: copyright-infringing material, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or content inciting violence or hatred
- Create fake accounts or impersonate other users or artists
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass any technical restrictions, download gates, or payment systems on the platform
- Abuse, harass, or threaten other users or members of the TrackBitz team
- Post spam, phishing links, or unsolicited commercial messages anywhere on the platform
- Attempt to fraudulently claim free downloads using invalid, expired, or manipulated discount codes
Violations of acceptable use may result in immediate account suspension, permanent banning, and/or referral to law enforcement where applicable.
19. Intellectual Property
The TrackBitz name, logo, branding, website design, and code are the intellectual property of TrackBitz and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without prior written consent.
All pack content, track recordings, artwork, and samples hosted on TrackBitz are owned by TrackBitz and/or the respective contributing artists. Purchasing or downloading content grants you a licence to use the content as described in Section 12 — it does not transfer ownership or copyright to you.
20. Privacy & Data
We collect and store the minimum data required to operate the platform. This includes:
- Email address — used for account login, purchase confirmation, ticket delivery, and (if followed) artist notifications
- Password — stored as a one-way bcrypt hash; we never store or transmit your password in plain text
- Google ID — if you sign in with Google, we store your Google account identifier (no password is stored)
- Purchase history — stored to allow permanent re-download from your dashboard
- Display name and avatar — stored if you set them on your account profile
- Payment references — PayPal transaction IDs and Stripe session references are stored for purchase verification. We do not store card numbers, bank details, or full payment information.
We use Stripe for card payment processing. When you pay by card, your payment details are handled directly by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. TrackBitz does not receive or store your card details at any point.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes. Follower email addresses are used solely to send artist notifications from the platform's email system. Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@trackbitz.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
21. Disclaimers & Liability
TrackBitz is provided "as is" without any warranty of uninterrupted availability. We make no guarantee that the platform will be error-free or available at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrackBitz shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business arising from use of the platform

22. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
23. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to your use of TrackBitz shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
